IF they are cancelling both, and just releasing the Mad Prof dubs as it's own thing - it really does seem to point to an issue with credits/licensing and not something having to do with the design, as I mean... the x2cd exists! Well, they say it's the design materials. Which is intriguing and sort of plausible. They have made sleeves from crazy things in the past, like those awesome heat sensitive singles boxes. Did they previously indicate what the sleeves were going to be like?

Yeah, on the initial email announcement - the vinyl special edition was going to have "designed heat sensitive box includes a book featuring exclusive images by Robert Del Naja and Nick Knight" So... there could have been an issue with the hypercolor printing (or even the Nick Knight images)

I can't imagine you can get ink like that just anywhere. Still a shame.

I just bought one of them used last year and didn't know o.o I think it wears off after some period of time though. I bought mine when it came out, so about 18 years ago, and now it doesn’t change colour.

I've the CD singles boxset purchased when it came out and I've just tested it, and it still works :-)
