Thanks Bester, I should've guessed that Richard would have this

Just got tickets for their DC show. Mezzanine with Horace Andy, Liz Fraser and visuals by Adam Curtis? Yes please.

I really hope that a live album comes out of this tour
(or at least some good bootlegs!)
Unfortunately, neither Massive Attack or the Chemical Brothers are touring in Portland so I'm going to have to fly down to San Francisco or LA to see either
...and there's no way my wife is going to let me go to both, especially as they're around the same time (but not like - the same weekend)
And I'm having a hard time deciding between MA and the Chems, as it's been since 2001 (!) that I last saw the Chemical Brothers

I'd choose the Chems any day! I love Massive Attack's music, but it's a bit too chilled for a live thing I think.

well, for fuck's sake...
The release has been delayed again - now, it won't come out until June 21st!
I think I'm going to just cancel my order from the MA shop. When I preordered the new version of Mezzanine, I also bought "3D and the Art of Massive Attack" back in January, the sandbag representative told me that "as a sign of good faith" they'd ship it separately... which they obviously never did.

They're taking the piss now. I'd love to know the reason why its delayed yet again because this is dragging on for too long now.

Yea - it's beyond ridiculous.
I wonder if the 'production issues' excuse with the most recent delay has something to do with Massive Attack delaying their US tour?
Like, I can see wanting to have the re-release come out as they're touring it. (or at least be available for purchase)
I also am a bit suspicious as the reason why the tour was delayed in the first place - it all sounded a bit too vague
(and this isn't the first time they've had to postpone / cancel a tour)

Their reissue of 100th Window is far behind as well

August 23rd release now, obviously they’ve been inspired by the Lavelle product fulfilment method...

That's insane. I'm so glad I canceled my order back in April, and just bought it from that dude on Discogs.
I got the album a few weeks ago, and honestly... it's certainly not worth the wait or the expense.
It's been at least a week or two since I've listened to the second disc, but from what I remember - the dubs of Angel, Super Predators, Teardrop, Inertial Creeps, and Group Four only sound marginally different to the previously released versions.
On a positive note: it's nice to have Risingson (Setting Sun Dub 2) - it is the same version that they posted their myspace years ago
As far as the other two "new" remixes...
Once it gets going 'Exchange (Mountain Steppers Dub)' is pretty interesting, but "Wire (Leaping Dub)" was frustrating to listen to. Like, it sounds like there are two different songs playing at the same time at points.

Anyone got a link to the remastered album and Mad professor remixes? Getting fed up of the delays especially when copies of the album are already out there.
Massive Attack must be one of the most insufferable people in music. If they're not infuriating each other then they're infuriating people who just want to hear their music. Let's not forget the talk from two years ago of a new album and quelle surprise there is still nothing.
