Look... I know that you all want to rip it. I think it is to get a perfect copy of the track. But can't you try this:
- Get a portable cd player - Hook this up on your soundcard using a jack/jack plug - Open a wave editor (like wave studio from soundblaster) - Hit record - play the track from the portable cd player
You may not have a perfect rip, but at least this must give some result!

MoG, There are actually 12 tracks. The first one isn't hidden. It plays normally in my wife's car CD player. You can see them with Easy CD-DA with Action > Read Table of Contents > Sub-code analyze

I think we need to find a really old CD-ROM that can't read multi-session discs. :/
so I even tried installing Ubuntu alongside windows, and it failed trying to even install Ubuntu.
James is trying to tell us something.. lol

While I haven't listened to the whole thing all the way through, the only difference I'm hearing is there's a "daydream" sample at the start of What Are You To Me? I skimmed the transitions between tracks. wow how could I have not noticed that this is in the normal retail version? I feel like an idiot. well anyway, that "daydream" sample at the start is very similar to the intro we're still trying to grab.. has the same feel. MoG any luck on that CD-R?

I was able to get CloneCD working and burned a copy. Blacked out the inner data ring with a pen and taped off the outer edge.. still no go.
Windows shows this as a data CD with nothing on it but a desktop.ini file, and EAC sees 12 data tracks..

What about using something like FreeCorder and rip the audio from your soundcard?

well i thought that - thats a track we all have. but now it seems there is indeed a hidden track at the beginning of the first track. its gonna be tough to extract it AT LEAST NOW I KNOW I'M NOT CRAZY and the song does exist!
