I'm off to Bulgaria because my mates are winging at the Euro exchange rates.
I got a new Burton board 2 seasons ago... not sure which one and I have the top of the range "flow" binding which I swear by!

Burton 7, 162 Original Burton mission bindings, but changed to the new style toe strap.
Really sweet set up, all mountain. Rode it yesterday in Arcalís, nice day. Living in Spain has cut my snowboarding costs as i avoid boats / eurotunnel / planes.
If any of you are ever thinking about riding in the Pyrenees get in contact I can point out some good places.

My closest mountain is La Molina/Massella It has a really nicely groomed snowpark, served by a excellent chair lift for nice easy access. The mountain is okay, not the best for free riding. But only 2.5 hours away so is really good for day trips! Andorra is okay, Arcalís is the best I have found for free riding, Soldeu has the best park. Pas has the best cheap alcohol! I am working my way across east to west, I want to check out the Baqueira area. I hear the best powder is there.
Gourette is on the French side, I haven't got that far over yet. Is it any good? Do you of any good places in the pyrenees?

Where are peoples favourite destinations? In Europe I would go for Les Arc's, I stayed in Arc's 2000 which was great for the boarding but shite for the apre ski. And in North America without doubt for me the best area in the world that I have boarded is Bansk, i.e. Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise.... amazing set of mountains!

I have fond memories of this place as it is where i learned to board... it atracts very few tourists, mainly just local French skiers / boarders, you can go and grab first tracks and be the only people on the mountain. its not massive by any stretch of the imagination, but good for a long weekend.

I can't afford to go this year I've got a Ride Timeless from around 5 years ago, Drake bindings and Vans boots. Apart from the boots, all my kit really needs upgrading. It's all nicely tucked away in my Quiksilver/Maharishi/Futura snowboard bag at the moment behind my bedroom door.

In the living room.....I had a go of Shaun White's Snowboarding on the Wii balance board last night with my son. Turned off the radiator and put on a silly woolly hat. Today, my calf's hurt!
