Here's one from The New Cue, which is a newsletter set up by former staff at Q:
I’ve read the press release for this new UNKLE mixtape Rōnin a couple of times and the words are just washing over me. Maybe it’s the point-size. What makes it a mixtape? I don’t know. I almost don’t want to know.
I do know it’s big, moody, bombastic music and I have really enjoyed listening to it today, on the year’s anniversary of our lockdown. The production is epic. It’s got Michael Kiwanuka singing beautifully on it. And I’ve been playing If We Don’t Make It a lot anyway, ever since I walked in on it on the radio assuming it was Daft Punk.
Anyway, hope you enjoy it. If you find out what it is, let me know
So far that's the only review I've seen. Are there any others yet?
