Very true. I have a few friends from those days who're now touring engineers, and I prob came closest to studio work by designing mixing-desks for 5years before moving into Industrial-PA-Equipment.
Ah cool, I've been enjoying the other bits on Spotify by Turtle this week, will also check out Eliza's other stuff.

The new Coldcut & On-U Sound album is really good.
Nice dubby beats, with lots of world music influences and cool guest vocalists.

Eight or so years ago I became obsessed with post-rock. I found erased tapes via a blog and got into Olafur Arnalds and Codes in the clouds. There were also bands like Caspuan, This will destroy you and LYMBYC SYSTM. Then I seem to forget about them. I may have to revist them all.
