Heard this on the Huey Morgan show on BBC 6Music on Saturday, and has been on almost obsessive constant rotation all week:
Turtle (Feat. Eliza Shaddad) - Blood Type.
Nice (Unkle/Trentemoller-ish) downtempo beats and floaty vocal. Album out at the end of the month apparently.

I went to University with Eliza. Really nice girl and a great singer. We used to be part of a group that organised hip hop nights in Birmingham.

Cool. Despite doing a Music-Tech degree I don't think any of my alumni have gone on to actually make music professionally. Think my closest claim-to-fame is I went to secondary-school with Hayley Sanderson - who's now one of the singers in the "Dave Arch Band" on Strictly Come Dancing (also really nice, and a properly great singer).

Cool. Despite doing a Music-Tech degree I don't think any of my alumni have gone on to actually make music professionally. Yes, it's often the case. The music tech guys I ended up doing something only vaguely related (DVD authorising and streaming stuff). I don't think Eliza did music, maybe English or history, something like that. She was always good, but I was pleaseently surprised when I heard her music recently. It almost sounds like it could have been Toydrum produced.
