Does anyone have ANY idea when this will be happening? For some of us overseas fanatics, we're going to need some fair warning so we can organise flights, time off work, etc.

I am guessing once the Kickstarter campaign launches in a couple of weeks more details will be posted their as you can't really take peoples finding without divulging what and when people are actually putting their funding into.

If there was even the vaguest hint of a time/place/date, you would have read it here first! I hope the Kickstarter starts soon, this is just way too exciting to wait.
Akemi will probably find out before James does.
I don't think they've even settled on a year; everything I've read says 2013/14 for the exhibition. Which is irritatingly ambiguous.
I feel your pain, you've got a long way to come. You'd better start saving now!

I've been contacted by the PR, it's coming soon and no, I don't know more than you!

Jizz... I've been wondering why the press have been a bit slow on this, though it's possible due to there being so little to report (so far).
I still think it's weird calling it a birthday celebration when it's been dead for so long.

Hmmm... I still wonder why JL needs to raise money via Kickstarter for this. Makes him look broke and like nobody would be up for sponsoring it! Surely this can't be the case if you look at the impact MoWax had, the people JL has collaborated with, the money that will be made with merch etc and the hype it will generate?

I agree that there is no question that the exhibition could have been funded privately. However, Kickstarter is a way of gauging public interest, and making sure that the project is worth the effort. It is also a way to generate hype and pre-orders. While that isnt exactly what Kickstarter was initially intended for, that is how it is used today.
