2014... hmmm that is tempting for us foreigners. My birthday plans for another Japan trip next year might have just changed.

Still can't really comment on what a let down that was yesterday... a countdown to nothing!
Because there has been silence on MO'Wax for so long, it just seemed so pointless to build and hype up a coming soon statement...
Oh well this still could be great... 365 days to go #MoWax21 or is it 22 now?

Because there has been silence on MO'Wax for so long, it just seemed so pointless to build and hype up a coming soon statement... Oh well this still could be great... 365 days to go #MoWax21 or is it 22 now? I actually feel a bit depressed. I wish they hadn't said anything at all. Celebrating a 21st birthday for something that died 10 years ago seems a bit odd anyway. Especially as it's going to be a year late. It gives me a logic-headache. I'm using #mowax22 from now on. That'll show 'em. So has nobody ever done a Kickstarter before? If they're clever, they can weedle some serious ca$h out of geeks. Things like £500 for a MWA book and a Headz 3 test-press. Or £1000 for a book and a hand-job from Charlie May (JL never does the dirty work himself). I need some actual bloody news!

Hilarious that it's going to be #MoWax22 in the end, especially as it was mentioned elsewhere that the plan was to do something for the 20th anniversary but JL never got round to it...

What a surprise.
2 years late and needing a Kickstarter campaign.
An actual explaination of how the label ended up folding would probably have been better. IIRC the actual names under companies house are still trading for some reason, maybe publishing.

Nice avatar Matt Thanks for making it Z! What a surprise. An actual explaination of how the label ended up folding would probably have been better. IIRC the actual names under companies house are still trading for some reason, maybe publishing. A funeral would probably be much more appropriate than a birthday celebration. The way it ended was rubbish. It just fizzled out with no proper explanation at all (as I recall). It either needs a decent burial or some sort of resurrection. I imagine James must have been pretty gutted about the whole thing, so probably didn't even want to talk about it for a fair while. Wasn't the Surrender label meant to be bigger and have other artists on it? That fizzled before it even started!

And we could fund it via Kickstarter

I've got 2 binders + crammed with interviews and articles and Dvd's with loads of pics, but getting the rights to reprint any of this would be impossible...
On another note I'm ready for some more news...

well... we could simply make a "Bootleg Mo' Wax 20th Anniversary Survey (Book)"
it would all have to be 'self published' (aka "Vanity Press") ** and well, it'd still have to be kickstarter funded
** there are actually some really nice 'online publishers' out there... my friend Alex put together a book of his illustrations, and I remember being surprised about how professional it looked (print quality wise, and binding... plus he told me that - at least with this one company - you could do pull-outs, etc) -> although I'd have to double check what service he used.
...although - I can't imagine JL being very happy about it (unless well, we (or some of us) are just told "hey you guys handle it" ... which might be the only way this project gets finished)
