Anyone been to any good gigs recently / got any coming up ?
Saw Ian Brown 2 nights at Manchester Apollo last month - awesome - especially with UNKLE playing the encores both nights.
Saw NERD last week as well, but more like a westlife concert with the amount of screaming girls there. How times have changed.

Jealous there, really wanted to see Mr Brown but missed out on tickets. Saw the Prodigy in Amsterdam a couple of weekends ago which was really good. Got a rock blast from the past this Wednesday, seeing Helmet play at the LA2, then the Prod again at Brixton this Sat. Bit far off but have tickets for Mars Volta and Chemical Brothers, both in March at Brixton.

Very good, last time I saw them was at Reading a couple of years back and it's much improved since then. They play a fair bit of the new stuff as well as the classics. A lot of the tunes they have changed from what's on the albums, mostly good improvemnets!! I was very impressed in Amsterdam, can't wait for Brixton this Saturday.

Well saw the Prodigy at Brixton last Saturday and it was bloody great, they even played the UNKLE mix of No One Knows just before they came on.

I thought they were pretty darn good on Saturday! A hell of a lot better than at Reading a couple of years ago! New track Warning was a winner with me! And Kieron's drumming was the best I'd seen him

Blimey, the Orb. That's a blast from the past, I din't realise they were still about. Should be good though even if it is just on the dex. Let us know how it was.

Alex Patterson ( The Orb ) plays everything from progressive house to pumping techno, from ambient and chill out to electro and breaks. He even plays reggae and dub. He changes records, styles and atmosphere way too often. You spend a minute getting into a track and then he spins something completely different. His set last night was extremely diverse but a little bit disconnected. All in all, not a big treat but definitely worth seeing.

Was this something to do with the dedication to John Peel that was on BBC Radio1 Last night?

well, yeah, he is surprisingly eclectic. although such eclecticism doesn't always work that well in a club, it does work for him.
