Amazing film! Spoke to the director and producer, apparently there'll be an exclusive ten minutes added to the end when it's in cinemas - never to be seen again! Some weird contractual thing with the distributer.
No mention of Tim or Major Force. Tim wanted nothing to do with the film, so no footage of him would be allowed in it. A bit odd, but they couldn't argue with that,

I must say, with James being able to take a long hard look at himself through this introspectively that I'm starting to think that Tim might be a bit of an arse.
I know there are two sides to each story, but his DFA actions and James Murphy's subsequent response in the LCD Track 'How do you sleep' makes me think he's not a very pleasant character. But this is of course gossip, so who knows

Yeah, I doubt the film-makers were that demanding. A half hour chat with Tim and his permission would have been more than enough.

So I gotta ask. Did my cameo in the background (looking at art) make the final cut? Brian mentioned seeing me in an early edit. ...I'm going to have to wait until the DVD release to finally see this.

I looked out for people I knew and didn't spot anyone! Being as I was at pretty much every gig that featured in the Meltdown-era section I was pretty surprised.
I was in some of the recent Man from Mo'Wax Facebook photos though. As a weird little blurry blob. Much like in real life.

Does anyone have any idea of what will be on the OST? Are there any new tracks in the film?

Spoke to the director, no new/exclusive tracks unfortunately. It's meant to be music from the film that's important to James's life, rather than just an Unkle best-of. Which is better I think.

Can anyone confirm if this dvd will play in the USA? Just want to know before I shell out for the pre-order. Thanks in advance for your help! BFI releases are typically Region 2 for DVD and A for Blu Ray. Even if that were not the case, the DVD would be PAL rather than NTSC, and although the BD would usually be 24fps and okay, sometimes the menus are 25fps and you can’t get past them to see the feature. I recommend hitting up B&H Photo and getting a region free Blu Ray player. It’ll cost a couple of hundred dollars but opens up the world of cheap European discs. In the last week alone I got The Death of Stalin for about $10 (it’s still in the theatre in the US) and if you’re into foreign/art house/weird stuff, suddenly Arrow films, BFI, Second Window, Manga, Artificial Eye, Optimum and many other distributors wares are available.
