When I saw it a few years ago in Melbourne, there was no mention of Unkle existing before DJ Shadow, no mention of Tim/Kudo etc. and the film almost seemed to be saying that Unkle was really Shadow's idea. I'm really curious if they've changed this since then though.

Really? That's fairly bizarre. Taking a quick look at the Unkle Wikipedia page, Tim Goldsworthy is mentioned in the first sentence. Maybe they just couldn't get interviews with the Major Force West guys?

I also read an earlier statement that said...."2018 will see the full release of the film along with a brilliant official soundtrack and some other exciting additions that we can't wait to share with you."

Maybe they just couldn't get interviews with the Major Force West guys? That's how I remember it anyway. Can anyone else who saw it confirm? It definitely pushes the idea of Shadow as a "DJ saviour".

As well as being screened in selected cinemas from 31st August, o n 10th September the BFI will release a numbered, limited edition Blu-ray/DVD edition featuring bespoke packaging, original artwork, and an array of extras. Standard editions will also be released on the same date.
