Z, let me know what you find out as we'll (me and the Mrs) have a 11 week old in tow! No probs. I'm hoping they will be more relaxed as it's early evening. And like yourselves wasn't planned when we donated the funds.

just so i'm clear, is this going to literally be just a walk around an exhibition? or is it to involve some music/drinking/mashup? Am I right to expect a party, or more like an art gallery? I'm guessing just a walk around and hello to james and Ben. The later will probably involve a free beer or glass of champagne but still just hanging around the gallery.

5:30 - 7:45 Exclusive Kickstarter preview with an introduction and book signing by James Lavelle 7:45 - 9:45 General private view (invite only, kickstarter backers welcome) I need clarification on this... 5:30 - 7:45 : open only to the launch party KS backers. 7:45 - 9:45 : open to the VIPs / journalists etc... who will have an invite, and the launch party KS backers are welcome to stay. I assume that James & Ben will continue signing books for the new comers... Right? So, basically as backers we have a 2 hours and 45 minutes world exclusive?

It's 2h15, not 2h45 by the way. That's a very, very short world exclusive...

It just occurred to me that HongKongSandy hasn't chipped in about this, or posted in a fair while. Does anyone know if he's ok?

In my experience, a pre-gallery opening is just like any other gallery opening but with an invite only audience. Its the same wine, cheese, crackers, and a lot people stroking their beards in front of the work. ...no loud music, hookers, cocaine or camcorders.

i almost dont want to go now. anyone know any good bars nearby? anyone want to come get pissed with me after ive paid £400 for a signed book? dude, I could totally be wrong. But knowing this is an art gallery, I just wouldn't get your hopes up for something too wild. And don't worry, the whole crew will meet up and we will have PLENTY of opportunities to get loose. Which is something I am really looking forward to. We have 'known' each other since the original MW board and never crossed paths, how crazy is that?

yeah, i may have been a bit hasty. i'm just a bit annoyed at myself really. except for the £1000+ pledge rewards, the launch party was the 'best' thing to go for. If they'd had thrown in the book, i'd feel better about it but no, just another copy of a cd i've already got 10 copies of.
i'm being a bit grumpy about it but i shouldn't be, it's just been a long day.

so is this the list? * AstroBBoy / the fuhz * Dale Cooper * Mo'Matt (+ maybe Tinks) * MoG * Zman * Doc / WDMN * unkl77 * SupremeSurrender / Ape Burger My first reaction was is this all from this forum, but then looking again probably only a few of the usual headz missing. Shiv, Tee, hongkong, scrawl. Looking forward to meeting the few of you I haven't met before.

The party's back on... My reply from Mowax
Hi Warren
Due to the nature of the evening (ie a party where we will be serving alcohol) we would normally advise that children and babies not attend. If this makes it difficult for you then we'd be happy to make an exception, but please be advised that the volume levels during the second half of the evening might be quite loud and so may not be comfortable for the baby.
