Reading all the descriptions given of this track it just sounds like Tracier to me...except that that's not rare... it's not Tracier this is getting crazy I just wish my laptop from a few years ago didn't die

Wow, cheers for that Vader, i'd never heard that before, it's pretty sweet...you wouldn't happen to have the Sneak Preview mix of Psyence Fiction as well would you? Been wanting to hear that for ages...

wow ok I just bought this promo a few weeks ago.
The CD is absolutely unrippable.. and won't play in my car stereo. But it will play in the wife's car.
I swear I thought that first track was some copy protection shit. Going to listen to it again right now.

EAC will Def be able to rip it. haha.. no way, sir. It reads the disc as all data. Trust me, I spent hours researching how to rip this. Tried with multiple programs (EAC, CDex, AnyDVD.. all without luck). The copy protection is XCP, and it's the one that installs a root kit on your system that Sony got sued for (if you have autoplay on).

OK so I just spent a little bit scanning through the disc in my wife's car (since it's the only CD player I've found that will play this).
First track is 4'31 and 3'26 of it is this ambient sounds that I honestly thought was some sort of copy protection scheme. I never listened all the way through because 1) I thought track 1 was copy protection and 2) the intro, which I thought I was getting the Ozzy intro, was the same as on the retail disc.. so I never listened to the rest of it.
While I haven't listened to the whole thing all the way through, the only difference I'm hearing is there's a "daydream" sample at the start of What Are You To Me? I skimmed the transitions between tracks.
I'm laughing right now because I was just about to send this CD back to the guy I bought it from (on discogs).. he was willing to refund my money. Thank god I didn't!

As I remember ripping XCP, you just have to take a nonclear sticker (like a jam jar label or a part of a 3M PostIt) and cover the second part from the center to the outside that is the data part. CD is now recognised as Audio Only. Solution was published few days after the XCP came out. Worked for me back then.

Yeah I read about that too.. but I don't want to render this disc useless.
I even managed to find an early version of EAC from 5 years ago that was able to change the TOC of the CD.. and THAT didn't work.
dammit.. now I'm on a mission again to rip this fucker.. lol

argh this isn't working.. either i have too much tape and the disc can't even be read, or too little and EAC is still reading the disc as data.
my tape is clear, but with smudge marks to make it more opaque.. i even sharpied onto the tape to black it out.. still nothing.
you have a picture of how this should look, honk?
and it's the outer edge of the disc.. not the inner ring yeah?

Yeah, t'is a bit twiddely fumbling but after you once did it right, you can handle all other xcp discs ... As Vader said:
