Cheers for the heads up on this, I’ve also bagged the Swifty- I think it’s so much better than the main poster. STILL not seen the film, away on holiday so it might be the home viewing when the blu-ray drops.

Agree about the War-Stories->WDTNF era - releases seemed to become a bit scattershot. Wasn't 'Another Night Out' supposed to be a standalone album (Sure Pablo even hinted there was another Ian Brown track lined up for it)... guess relationships were quickly going sour and it was a case of getting stuff out the door before it got Yes I remember that. In my program/leaflet from the original Daydreaming..... the Nick Cave track Money and Run was described as being from ‘the forthcoming album Daydream Underground.’

I saw the film last night in Edinburgh. I thought it was brilliant. I thought it was a pretty fair account more than anything of just how hard it is (and how little fun sometimes) it can be to try and make a long term career/living in the music business in what is not exactly majorly mainstream stuff. Glad it mentioned downloads and changing landscape of the music business because those sales graphs could pretty much apply to any artist in the same timeframe. Just the way it is. I know James gets a lot of flak - usually from some of his biggest supporters- but the film shows clearly this is a guy who loves music and being involved in making music. When you think of the sheer volume of great music from his various channels over the years it’s a great legacy. For all the amazing artists involved. I thought the new tracks at the beginning were fantastic. Can’t wait to hear them again. Why quite a few people in the cinema sat talking through them just sums up so much for me. That’s what you’re up against.
I have been following it all since early 90’s so it was amazing to be able to see this all on the big screen in a Edinburgh. Didn’t think I’d get the chance. Very honest of Pablo to say what he did at the end and credit to everyone for putting what must be done personally upsetting and depressing episodes out there for public consumption. Can’t be easy. I thought it was a brilliant film and while these things can’t possibly satisfy everyone or cover every single thing, I found it a really enjoyable film. 👍🏻

What does Pablo say (throw it in a spoiler if you want)?

********SPOILER ALERT*******
Just that it mentions the fall out between James and Pablo and James mentions getting a phone call from someone basically threatening all sorts of shit to expose James and his lack of creativity or whatever and say how the records were really made etc. Then shows Pablo basically saying he called James up said all sorts of horrible things that he didn't deserve. How he had put the studio together in Brighton for him and James to work in and how it was sad that 20 years of friendship had ended like this. Said he loved him or something. It was just quite sad and very regretful I think. But very honest of him to say he shouldn't have said those things, even if they were true.
My over riding feeling from the film was how much of a grind it all had become. Certainly didn't look fun. In Pablos words "just knocking out tracks" basically trying to make money through licensing. I get the impression there was always a decent amount of money coming in but a recurring theme is the amount of money going out.

Amazon have it listed as delayed till the 17th (they sent out an email last week), but BFI still say 10th on their store. Edit: There’s a signing on the 10th so maybe it was just Amazon’s preorders which were delayed. http://instagram.com/p/BnhC1CmDmph

The place I linked to the other day... base.com also now claim "New Release - Awaiting stock from supplier." - so looks like some retailers might not be getting them this week. Doh.

With these release delays, it's almost as if this project is related to Unkle in some way...
