Excellent news! I was really planning to get myself an og copy some day. That's even better.

So that's US only then? A pity if so. Also a pity that they never did anything as good as this LP again. More info here: recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/9822Comes on swirled vinyl and Lady Don't Tek No on a 7". Which is awesome, but I'm surprised they couldn't dig up any unreleased stuff, or even use some of the rarer bits that are hard to find.

...I just sold my original. It did not age well in my opinion. To each his own. I cant remember, is the live version of The Wreckoning on there (Shadow/Lateef)?

I can’t figure out how to embed a video whilst on my phone, but fans of Lady Don’t Tek No should check this video out: youtu.be/Ri7tSf_4Gi4Single sample source!

Yeah, bit of a cheeky one from Shadow. Still a great beat though.

Re-listened to the Latryx album at the weekend. It's definitely not as good as I remembered. In fact, I found Lyrics Born annoying as fuck. For instance, Burt Pride is at least twice as long as it should be. Probably why I never really went mad for his solo stuff (though it does have it's moments). Still a good album overall. The beats are all dope, especially the DJ Shadow and Chief Exel ones. I think Lateef was at his peak on this LP, some incredible verses. Has anyone got a 320 kbps rip handy at all please? Afraid not, don't think I've ever heard it.

Does anyone know why this wasn't originally released by Mo'Wax? According to Discogs in 1997 there was a Mo' Wax promo, and then the album came out on A&M on vinyl and Solesides on CD. Seems weird.

Good question, don't know that one. There was only the one MWSS release (but with a few versions). But the relationship must have been ok, as Spectrum happened not too long down the line.

Yeah it's interesting that Spectrum came out in 1999, and then in 2000 Quannum partnered with Ninja Tune for the Solesides Greatest Bumps compilation.
