Can anyone help me to clarify this? The very latest Mo' Wax release, with an MWxxx style cat number, was Parsley Sound's LP. BUT : - Never Never Land also exists wit the MWU001 cat # and has the Mo' Wax logo - Shadow's Private Press has the Mo' Wax logo, some Mo' Wax credits and Lavelle as A&R both of them were released by Universal Was Mo' Wax still alive or not? I've always thought that the Mo' Wax logos on those records were some kind of JL's desperate try to keep the label alive. Well, what I want to know is : can I consider those records as Mo' Wax releases? Any info would be cool

I've often wondered this myself. I think out of the two, Never Never Land comes closer as it's got a proper MW cat number. I think this was the last record to have the Mo'Wax logo on it too. Hopefully we'll have some more next year though. I think strictly speaking neither are really Mo'Wax, but you can include them if you want.

Well, I think it's pretty much a matter of opinion. I suppose you could ask James his opinion? Of course Mo'Wax might not be dead, there's always a chance of a resurrection.

I personally never saw those releases as 'MoWax' releases. The logo was tagged on because of association, and perhaps would remind potential buyers what they were looking at. I think that the last item to have the MW logo was the pink Self Defense remix box.
On another note, remember how everything in the late 90's seemed to feature like five different logos on it? This usually happened on posters and toy boxes. I find it hard to be that so many separate entities collaborated to produce those things.

They are both in the book, so I assume Lavelle considers them as official releases.

The book had a MW cat number, so it still lives!
