Feel free to correct & pictures always welcome Don't really know much about him - i thought Food/Kev was the same person? EDIT - and thinking about it i didn't know it was released (other than a a bootleg). I thought it was just from the solid steel radio show. I won't pass it round so freely in the future.

InvaderFoo that cover is cool, isn't a Recordio-Gram like the personal messages that were recorded onto vinyl in the old days like you hear at the beginning of the Private Press..?

Kev is part of DJ Food, but it was just Kev that did this record. it was for the SOlid Steel radio show, but he pressed up a few coies (under 10 i think) so only him, shadow, a couple of his mates and Joost got one

That's going to be even more of a bastard to find than the Cube + Celestisal 10" Think Shadow would sell me his copy... signed while he's at it? ^_^ BTW: That Shadow v. Diplo Megaroid mix is the SHIT! The Six Days mash part was incredible, I had half-stock throughout the entire duration of that bit. Is that floating aorund in any other form? I know I've heard/seen the Lil' Flip / Radiohead part around as a separate MP3, is it particular to this mix or was just included in it for fun?

DJ Food was the pseudonym for Coldcut when they had contractual obligations with a major label. This is back in the early days of NinjaTune. They released LPs as "Food fo DJs", so who did them wasn't the issue.
Strictly Kev and DK took over the names when Coldcut could do things with their own name. Both of them have been involved with DJ Food for a long time too, the engineering etc.
Check the linernotes of Coldcut's Journeys for DJs mix.

Cheers for the info on Kev/Food ;D 10 copies, eh - good luck invader LOL. Here is a link for the 2step special Set: s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3N1X8C51Y0HCM06L8O799HVRCRInvader has very kindly said he will host a couple of mixes, which will be better than yousendit. Once i work out how to do it i'll get the last couple of things to him. It will be better cos the Route Du Rock and JJJ mixup are both pretty large files and yousendit kept crashing out last time i u/l them.
