Looks like someone already got CDs. I hope they were for free, because they look ugly. If show already recorded why not to sell it digitally... http://instagram.com/p/BZlxltXAviO

The CDs were available after the gig and were £20 Was an amazing gig, had a great time and it was great to catch up with a few heads from here too.

Are there any people in here that preordered before the gig and also got it at the gig? I wonder if any mastering was done on the version that's being shipped. Can anyone compare the 2?

Can someone do a quick review of the gig?

Can someone do a quick review of the gig? It was awesome. Elliot Power and Eska stole the show in my opinion. The Visuals were nice but not anything I haven't seen done before.

Willing to put it down to the fact I had an off night rather than them (my girlfriend decided to be violently ill the moment they came on, so spent the evening worrying if she was ok)... also had to dash off during In A State to get the last train, so don't even know if that was the last song or if they played Farewell to end?
Positives: James taking on more of an active role during the show. Eska really nails her songs. Return of Be There to the set. They seem a v.solid unit (drummer was great) and look to be having fun on stage.
Negatives: Leila missing (for obv reasons) meant the initial run (Hold My Hand+Mayday) didn't have the energy she usually brings. Keaton missing - meant they didn't play my fave track from The Road. Lonely Soul - cut-off after the breakdown (I'm greedy as seen Unkle with string sections and love the 2nd half).
I weirdly still find the 'straight-rock-band' edition of Unkle the least interesting. Given the nature of the band, I'm sure they could figure out how to blend/mash-up some of the tracks and be more interesting.
Unfortunately, I just didn't think they were as good as Somerset House last year. Perfectly good 'tour-able' show (without the literal bells and whistles of Orchestra). If I'd been in a better mood I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more - will be interested to listen back on cd and discover I'm just a moody bugger.

Eska was amazing but Mink stole it for me, Be There and Rabbit was amazing with him on the vocals. The only track that didnt really work for me was Reign, I dont know why Dorian didnt sing that one too? Heaven was great and i'll never tire of seeing the dedication to Gavin on screen. Also, they said it was sold out but i couldnt believe how packed it was, good crowd too. Sometimes you forget it's not just us geeks who like UNKLE...

Another plus to me was seeing Neil Barnes of Leftfield moving to the music, he seemed to enjoy it ☺
