Hey guys! So it seems like I've gotten my hands on a Mo Wax holygrail. I bought a big portion of records from the Prunes old manager and one of them was the super rare Headz Headz Headz 7" testpress - only 5 copies pressed. I've added it to Discogs: www.discogs.com/The-Prunes-Headz-Headz-Headz/release/8787155Now im trying to figure out if I should keep it or maybe put it up for auction on eBay. Also I've already gotten a really heavy offer from a guy - but I thought it would make sense to ask how much you guys think it would be worth and how high the bids would go on eBay, before I say yes to any offers. Peace Jakob

Boo. Ok, fair enough. More details though please! It'd be amazing if you could take lots of photos/scans, or even an audio rip if at all possible? I'd pay you money for just an mp3! How much did it go for? I reckon you should have auctioned it really, could have gone for silly money!

How much did it go for? I reckon you should have auctioned it really, could have gone for silly money! Ok, I might as well mention this now. I was trying to keep this quiet until the project was further along but... I have been in contact with The Prunes for several months now. Tentatively working on a Prunes 'headz' reissue. They have provided me with MP3s of the record and asked that I not share them in order to keep the music safe. So on behalf of The Prunes, please DO NOT rip or distribute the music under any circumstance. They do not the music out there at this time. It will be released, officially, just be patient.

I promised the buyer not to tell how much he paid. How much do you think, when you say "silly money"? I've been chatting with Peder from the Prunes and he asked me to rip a .wav for him, but he asked me too late, now I've asked the guy I sold it to, to make the .wav.

Could have gone for thousands, who knows? This thing is the ultimate Mo'Wax holy grail, to the extent some people doubted it's existence for years. But on the other hand, interest has waned somewhat recently, so difficult to tell. There's no real precedent for comparison. So on behalf of The Prunes, please DO NOT rip or distribute the music under any circumstance. They do not the music out there at this time. It will be released, officially, just be patient. This is awesome news and I respect their wishes. The kind of people who care about this record are likely to eagerly buy a copy even if they already had the mp3s. But of course I can be patient.

Thread of the year for sure.
Cat number is not what I expected : MW030 --> MWH001
Now, who's gonna find a copy of MW048 - Krush - Another Maze ?

Yeah the cat number is surprising. Not really thought about Another Maze. That'd certainly be nice. Was there ever any information on what was on that record?
I also have dreams about the Sam Sever LP test press. That has to surface one day!

I also have dreams about the Sam Sever LP test press. That has to surface one day! I haven't heard much of anything about 'Another Maze' on MoWax, although a 12" remix EP was released on Sony: www.discogs.com/DJKrush-%E8%BF%B7%E8%B5%B0-Another-Maze/release/132532 The Sam Sever LP was supposed to be released. Remember how it is mentioned on the alternate artwork to 'whats that sound'? Look at the photo below, in the lower left corner. It mentions: "A few beats for the head. From the forthcoming album - Something For The Head" I have spoken with Sam about it, and accounts seem to vary as to why it was not released. One interesting thing is that he apparently introduced James to Futura. He also was a bit miffed when all of the pointmen started popping up in UNKLE artwork because that was his idea. The 'raiders of the lost art' were supposed to represented on his covers as pointmen. THEY were the Raiders of the Lost Art!

Anyway, this is huge news! I also wish that I could have been able to make an offer, but that is the way it goes. I too am surprised that the catalog number was not MW030, but MWH001 also makes sense. hmmm, now wouldn't it be wild if MW030 existed, but as another release we did not know about?
